I do not envy those that must choose the "best". Far too subjective. It would take an expert on Haiku to find those works that really meet all the criteria.

Today we must all unite
Get rid of Sharky!

Gondor, Oh Gondor
Boromir is lost to you
Yet Faramir lives

Mithrandir and he
On the bridge of Khazad dum
Met for one fell fight
