Gimli glues a fake beard on Legolas when he's sleeping.

In Rohan, when Gandalf throws off his cloak with the impressive line, "I am Gandalf the White!" he gets laughed at because Aragorn has dyed his robes pink!

these were not funny in the least. sry guys.
