Here's my Robin Hood and Little John version:

Meriadoc and Peregrin
Walkin' through Old Forest
Laughin' back and forth
At what the other'ne has to say
Reminiscin', This-'n'-thattin'
Havin' such a good time
Oo-de-lally, Oo-de-lally
Golly, what a day

Never ever thinkin' there was danger by the water
They were tired, they just sat themselves down
Never dreamin' that a schemin' Willow with an evil heart
Was a-watchin' them a-sittin' on the ground

Frodo and Samwise Gamgee
Runnin' through Old Forest
Jumpin' fences, dodgin' trees
An' tryin' to find a way
To help their friends
Escape, an' fin'lly makin' it
Oo-de-lally, Oo-de-lally
Golly, what a day
Oo-de-lally, Oo-de-lally
Golly, what a day

Not my best, but I'm not in a very humorous/poetic mood at the moment. Still, slightly amusing, at least to my deranged sense of humor.
