I picked up the book after it was mentioned in another book I was reading and learned about the movie because there was a sticker on the front advertising for it. I deem that being a fan before the movie. I've found that the people who aren't LOTR fans have all been lousy friends, I guess because we didn't have the really important things in common. I wonder if there are message boards out there complaining about us LOTR people?
