Quite true... though sometimes I feel wasted because I end up not doing as much work as public school people do. I think I'm going to go to public school for high school. O_O I'm scared.

Egad. How did I not post here before? I am sadly a connoisseur of these kinds of forms—I get them via email all the time and fill them out. They're addictive. I've gotten to the point where I can't seem to find ones with new questions. Baby, I seen it all.
So... Name: Diamond, Sarah Rose, Lita...Supreme Goddess of Whateverland... Age: Let me see... 18 years 6 months 0 days. Occupation: I work in a Library. Future Aspirations: Become a published author, be remembered as a good (or even great) writer, and still have people reading my books after I'm dead and gone. Goal in life: Isn't that the same thing? Well... I'd like to be a good Christian, which I'm not right now. Short term goals: Pay my taxes, meet a guy who will look twice at me, etc. Passion: Writing. Hobbies: Writing (but let's call it a career, shall we?) Famous for: I had my picture in the paper once, but that was just because they were doing a story about the county library system, and I was the only library employee who didn't refuse. Favorite book: Lord of the Rings by JRRT, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and Till We Have Faces by C.S. Lewis, The Sundering Winds by me. (I'm so...modest...) Etc. Favorite movie: LotR:FotR, Indiana Jones RotLA & TLC, What's Up Doc?, The Mummy, Pride & Prejudice '95 Etc. Favorite sport: Figure skating I guess...not really, though. Baseketball is nice and soothing—easy to sleep to. Football is good, too (American, that is—World Football bores me to shivering pieces). Favorite store: I hate to shop. Favorite music: Rock (mainly this) Celtic Nickel Creek (Grammy award, baby!) What you can't stand: Anti-American Americans, Writer's block, My computer, My modem, AOL & Yahoo!, Elvis, 60's Girl Groups, 90's Boy Bands, People who ask me where I'm going to college, Guys telling me how cute/pretty/hot other girls are, Guys telling me how "smart" I am, (Now, here at the Barrow Downs I love it, but in real life it's kind of like being given the Miss Congeniality Let's-Just-Be-Friends Award.) What you plain dislike: Asparagus, Broccoli, Dishes that don't get clean in the dishwasher, Mathematics, My taxes. Who you admire:God, J.R.R. Tolkien, Ursula K. LeGuin, Jan Karon, Lewis Carroll, Chuck Jones, A number of friends, acquaintences and relatives, George W. Bush, Cats, ... and REB RPGers. (My what a motley bunch, and not all would get along with each other. Go figure.) What you most love to do: Write. Your self-confessed flaws: Egad. Stupidity, ignorance, immaturity, paranoia, hypocrisy, self-righteousness, close-mindedness, pride, ugliness, bad grammar, horrid spelling. Etc. What intrigues/fascinates you: Insanity, Fantasy writing, music, and guys with curly hair. Well, mostly guys, really. What scares you: My above flaws, guys, loneliness, writer's block, and most of all right now, my brother going to Iraq next week. Quotation to live by: If you would not be forgotten, as soon as you are dead and rotten, either write things worth reading, or do things worth the writing. ~ Benjamin Franklin Additional comments: Hmm... A Ringwraith spots a Hobbit 30 meters away—if the Ringwraith gallops towards the Hobbit at a speed of 12 meters per second and the Hobbit runs away at a speed of 10 meters per second, how long will it take the Ringwraith to catch up to the Hobbit? ~ Diamond [ May 08, 2003: Message edited by: Diamond18 ]

To Hirilaelin and Brinniel: I know this was two pages ago but Street Dancing is basically the type of dance you mainly see on music videos. Its what we call it in England anyway. You have national compitions and everything, its really good. Also, I am not that good, you should see some of the other people in National Youth Ballet they are so good. But anyway, I seem to have a problem with my knees. A few people in my dance school seem to have that problem. One girl dislocated her knee while doing pointe, she did it right in front of me, it was awful!

Wow, that's... Painful. Ow. My Mom tore her hamstring dancing, but not pointe. And another girl tore her achilles tendon. We seem to be developing a pattern, eh?
Wow, I'm homeschooled too! More homeshoolers, yay!

Hmm, street dancing sounds similar to hip hop. Perhaps I'm wrong, though.

Name (that you go by): Rebecca, but it gradually gets shortened every time it is used, so it's 'Becca, then Beck, then finally just B ... I don't know. People are weird. Age: 18 Occupation: college student @ SFA Future Aspirations: To get a B in Com 101. Past that I haven't really thought about it. Well, I have, but... Goal in life: Really? To become stronger in my Christianity. It's already grown by leaps and bounds since coming to college, and it seems the farther I come, the more I see that I have so much yet to learn. I also want to get married and have children someday ... I would be happy just being June Cleaver, even though that sounds so anti-women's rights. I could see myself baking cookies. Short term goals: To get a B in Com 101. To actually do some schoolwork instead of just crap around on the computer. Passion: music, writing, my Lord Hobbies: writing, guitar, rock-climbing, making a fool of myself in front of boys, scribbling in my journal, listening to music, swooning over musicians, and making sand castles Famous for (okay this is where you get to brag about yourself): I've always been the teacher's pet. I'm also the person you talk to when you are having problems. Fave book: LOTR and assorted Tolkien crap (hehe), "Mere Christianity" by CS Lewis (that book brought me back) and several of his other essays, "The Chronicles of Narnia" by CS Lewis (I read them for the first time a couple months ago... I missed out on a lot of stuff when I was a child) Fave movie: Ferris Buller's Day Off, if I'm made to choose Fave sport: hang-gliding Fave store: Pac Sun. I'm a fiend for their sale racks Fave music: if you can perform it live and do a good job, I like it. I've become a Bono fanatic, though. And I grew up on old rock and folk music from the 60s and 70s What you can't stand: hypocrites. Self-serving individuals. Gossips ("small minds discuss people,") and people who leer. People who are mean to retail personell. ppl who dont even tri to spel or use puncuaton and arrogance in all its many forms. People who SNORE What you plain dislike: hypocrites. Who you admire: people who have a stronger faith than I do (which are a lot of people). My mother and father. What you most love to do: write. And even though it sounds trite, witness. I really love my faith, and I love telling people about it. Your self-confessed flaws: I'm hypocritical, doubtful, impatient, and very obvious about what I'm feeling at the time. I also have a lot of fear within me, but not as much as I used to have What intrigues/fascinates you: nature and the interaction between her and her Creator. There is so much beauty in this world, so much perfection in even the smallest of things, that I can't find a reason to disprove the existance of a Maker What scares you: that something may happen to the people that I love. I'm not afraid to die, but I'm afraid of hurting them by my passing; my family means everything to me. Quotation to live by: "fear is not of God." -M.M. (but I'm sure she got it from the Bible somewhere) "It is not that God waits for us to be in difficulty before revealing Himself, but that we are oftentimes more receptive to his voice when in pain." Additional comments: "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord, your God. the Holy One of Israel, your Savior." Isaiah 43:1-3 No one said that becoming a Christian would solve all your problems. Indeed, life became harder after I really became in-depth in my faith. But the difference is, you won't be alone like you were before. With the Father at your back, the Son at your side, and the Spirit in your heart, you can do anything. You don't have to fear anyone, you don't have to doubt (though you still do fear and doubt; it is your nature); nothing can touch you. Why are you so angry? Why do you refuse? Hmm, must also finally post here, I guess.
True name: Alice I like to write Tolkien fanfiction and listen to music all day and night...I'm 18 and also homeschooled (woohoo!) but I'm late to graduate 'cuz I spend too much time on LotR. My favorite musical artist is Rich Mullins, the only two bands I like are PFR and the Beatles. I hate slash fanfiction, boy bands, movie Legolas and I'm sure there's more... I currently work at Burger King but I am going to quit as soon as my brother gets settled (and hired ) and start my own business making jewelry. 'Zat 'nuff?

Oooh, I see three more dancers! *cheers* I'm happy to say that I made my high school dance team (one of my short term goals). The auditions were one of the reasons why I haven't been online for sometime, as I have been dancing everyday for the past ten days and am rather exhausted.
