Why do you not casre for this part of Tolkien's world? What's wrong with characters who are evil in nature?

I just find it interesting that you don't like this piece of Tolkien's world, since Melkor was evil by nature (or at least I took him to be so).

Just curious.

I agree with you. good post. But I would like you to explain a little further what you mean when you say that "racial, ethnic and religious tolerance are a moral necessity", if you think it would add to the discussion.
