BGreg has just left Hobbiton.
I would agree with the Dwarves being the physically strongest.
Of course, we see individuals of many races pulling off all kinds of incredible things, but considering the entire race, it's the Dwarves' ability to carry weight (especially armor), and endure long time working in harsh conditions that is unmatched in ME.
Yes, the Elves can jump around and hold their balance, but I just don't picture them doing the real heavy lifting. Nor do the Men (exceptions excluded).

I agree. The Elves seem to be advantageous when it comes to endurance, they can go on for longer, but the Dwarves would win in a match of brute strength. When it comes to Men, there is probably too much variety in their sub-races to make a solid judgement, but I doubt any could best a Dwarf.
