Dwarves, Elves, or Men

Which race is physically stronger?

Galadriel 07-25-2011 06:29 AM

Depends. Elves are natural acrobats and have very good reflexes, but Dwarves are very hardy and physically strong. I cannot particularly choose which one I would rather have by my side in a battle

I do not think Men, as a race, have any particular redeeming qualities when it comes to strength (I am ruling out the Númenorians).

Being straightforward, I think a Dwarf would win in a match of physical strength.

I would agree with the Dwarves being the physically strongest.
Of course, we see individuals of many races pulling off all kinds of incredible things, but considering the entire race, it's the Dwarves' ability to carry weight (especially armor), and endure long time working in harsh conditions that is unmatched in ME.
Yes, the Elves can jump around and hold their balance, but I just don't picture them doing the real heavy lifting. Nor do the Men (exceptions excluded).

I agree. The Elves seem to be advantageous when it comes to endurance, they can go on for longer, but the Dwarves would win in a match of brute strength. When it comes to Men, there is probably too much variety in their sub-races to make a solid judgement, but I doubt any could best a Dwarf.
