yes, there is...
I live in the north-west so we have a pretty well developed wine culture here as well, but further south you've got much much more beer Guess Scotland isn't so bad either. I remember visiting Glenfiddich, that was nice

Well, if you like good beer, I'd direct you right to my homeland, which is Czech republic, city Prague... it's not much far from Germany, you can visit both countries at once, if you happen to go our direction
