If the ticket price is a reflection of sheer greed from someone, I'd be tempted to wait for sure - & that is a lot of money! You can get one of the Extended version DVD's for that amount...
Allow... |

I think Mortensen is great in the role of Aragorn - but, Towsend never got the chance, so at least he deserves the benefit of doubt... Who knows, had he actually played it, noone might have... |

I would like to see RotK win, too - on behalf of all 3 movies. The problem for both the LotR trilogy & the academy is that the awards really aren't 'geared' towards movie(s) like this. Neither in... |

I saw the Bakshi movie way back in late 70ties ('79 perhaps?), in the cinema. I was already then a fan of the books, & frankly, I was disappointed. While it did try & follow the storyline as... |

Iben Hjejle as Eowyn? Interesting... But maybe a little too old(!) for the part - Miranda Otto is doing a fine job I think. |

If I had to make a choice, it would probably be FotR - but the two movies really are so different, that it's difficult to compare. I do like TTT a lot, too...
Harbinger fiddle??? Whassat? ... |

I think all the costumes were great - a part of the incredible amount of working with the details that makes these movies so great. As I've stated before, one of the things that makes these movies... |

I can perfectly well understand if some people think there's too much fighting going on. BUT, there is a good deal of it in the books, too. And as has been said in this forum about a gazillion... |

Actually one of my favorite things about the movies, maybe the best thing about them, is the way Middle Earth is brought to live. Of course the way PJ depicts it isn't necessarily the same way I have... |

It's probably true that not all the accents* in the movies are stricly correct in terms of the Middle Earth 'universe'. But I just enjoy the variation!
*I actually prefer the word 'dialects'. To... |

I think it's funny that the article mentions Andy Serkis saying that we will see the whole transfarmation of Smeagol -> Gollum. This seems to suggest that it won't be in the extended version... |

I saw FotR in the cinema several times on my own. I've seen TTT once on my own, too. I have no close living friends as interested as I am. |

Yeah I noticed that mistake the first time I saw TTT - & it is a mistake, no doubt about it. He should have said North-West.. (unless, of course, you think the party of Uruks had gone too far... |

I really don't think PJ's major problem with making these movies was the budget - it was time. Not the time he had to film, but the time each movie would have on screen, a little less than 3 hours... |

Eruwen, "The Missing" is on the soundtrack, but not as a seperate track - unfortunately I can't remember which track it's on ("Helm's Deep" maybe?). It's sung in Old-English btw. Oh, & it's... |
