jallanite is a guest of Tom Bombadil.

My book An Introduction to Elvish ( originally contained a list of Tolkien-oriented fanzines at the end. This contained information on the various zines, including cost, and soon became out of date. Unknown to me, the publisher solved this problem by omitting the pages, not noticing that these page are referenced in the text.

The publisher is quite willing to have a new listing included in the next reprinting. Since information is now available on the web it is possible to list the web URL here and the information should therefore stay up to date for several years at least.

Please advise anything that you think should be changed since I don’t know everything and want to have a version printed that hopefully will not need changing again for some time.

As to webzines, the Festival in the Shire Journal is, so far as I know, no longer being printed and Legendarium has not come out yet. And I don’t want to list forum after forum.

The “Help the Aged” information includes charities which correspond to those originally recommended by Christopher Tolkien to which royalties were donated. The royalties were actually donated to the British Help the Aged, now Age UK.
