Bilbo sees some things in Mirkwood when he climbs up into some trees, or is lifted up, (I forget which). They are ysually a differe.nt colour, but the ones he sees are black. ;)

One vowel would need changing (maybe to 'o' from November, or maybe the vowel next to the N, or maybe you also need to add an N), and I guess we'd need to pluralise it...?

Or it could be LEAVES, based solely on the colour. :D
