Húrin knowing everything
Hi,
I have just finished reading The Children of Húrin, with The Wanderings of Húrin and have just gone back to the Silmarillion. *Spoilers* Húrin has met Mim the dwarf and I was wondering if I have missed something. Húrin seems to know all about Túrin and what happened to him, his dealings with the dwarf and about his Túrins death in detail when he spoke to Morwen at the grave. I was wondering how he knew this? Did Morgoth tell him? Or something, maybe I read it and forgot. Thanks for any help! |

Welcome, ethelion.
During Húrin's captivity with Morgoth, he had been forced to watch the workings of Morgoth's curse. He was given Morgoth's powers of sight and perception as a means of torment, and thus knew all that had happened to Túrin.

To elaborate, the Introduction to The Children of Húrin has this to say about Húrin's experience as a prisoner of Morgoth:
