The Might - I love your Spartan punishment for spammers, tough but fair in my opinion

I'm all for The Might's anti-spam plans, but I'm not sure about battling without any armor or dining in hell.
My praises to Lalwendë to honoring Vonnegut, probably my other favorite author. I only found out this morning when an obituary ran in the local paper. He's still alive in the past.

Then I thought about what he might be thinking from wherever he is in Time, and how he'd make a wise quip about it all. The Might - his books are extremely readable due to his easy style, though you'll find your mind blown by some of the ideas he comes out with and will keep returning to things - he had a knack of making you feel quite haunted one minute and had you laughing aloud the next. Well worth looking out for!

Of course I like The Phantom's siggy. . .it is about Chuck Norris and everybody loves him, since he is so good to let us all live. I even have a photo of him on my fridge, but I think that the siggy should be specified too:

Say what?!
OK! I'm dying to know the what and the where-from of Child of the 7th Age's new sig. I read it aloud and the meaning seemed just on the tip of my tongue.....

That is unfair! I have talked with you several times and I have never been incited to any such thing, I think it is unfair that I have to come up with these ideas all by my self.

More than you want to know....
Pio the Curious,
Ah... There is a story behind that rep. One of my kiddos was browsing on e-bay and managed to find the very quirky book "Eglerio!" and bought it as a present for mom. This was written in the seventies by two Americans, Anne Etkin and Nan Scott, who had travelled to England and managed to set up a meeting with Tolkien. JRRT was very gracious in his hospitality. The book has their personal reminiscences plus odd snatches from contemporary magazine and newspaper interviews of Tolkien, quotations I've never seen anywhere else. At the front of the book is a dedication verse in Old English. This is the translation given: Quote:
And thank you for the greetings!

Well I might have other effects ... I mean you want to be careful..a young politically active person like yourself might find yourself inspired to apathy and to merely considering strongly worded letters to the Telegraph while sipping tea amd nibbling a nondescript variety of biscuit.

Then you will see... that nothing will change in this respect. We might ask lmp or someone how does it go when going towards fifty... although I think I know the answer: nothing new under the sun there either. So what do we learn from this? We're never mature enough. Happily so. I'm really afraid of people who claim to be mature or "fully-grown adults". They're scary... and they're wrong.

As the person who originally penned the much agreed-with quote in question...
[subliminalmessage]rep me[/subliminalmessage] I demand PROOF. What is it about which you're old enough to know better, but too immature to act on? |

Signature Length.....
I just wanted to stick a little reminder in about acceptable length for sigs on the Barrow-Downs:

I'm intrigued by The Might's signatures as well. The wonderful Dons getting a mention? What is the significance of these scorelines?
