Again not quite a superlative, but who was 'not the least valiant' of the house of Haleth?

I'll rely on Blind Guardian again for this one... Fingolfin was 'most proud and most valiant'

Re: Valiant

Blind Guardian is a heavy metal's group.
They're German, and in my opinion, they're one of the best groups ever.
Most songs of Blind Guardian deal with LOTR, Silmarillion...

They have a song in which that is said of Fingolfin, that's why Sharku said he relied in them.

I also did so above, having their lines 'Thus he died, Nom the wise, fair and noble, most beloved of the Noldor race...' in mind.

Anyway,
from where came the biggest retinue of men of the Outlands which aided Minas Tirith in the Battle of the Pelennor?

Imrahil brought a lot of knights from Dol Amroth... but I don't think his was the biggest force. Hmmmm.... was it those led by Forlong?

It was indeed Imrahil, for behind his unit of knights marched about 700 men of Dol Amroth. Forlong isn't the answer to all of my questions

Re: Valiant

I guess I lucked into that one... I kept think someone brought more than a 1000, but that was the Rohirrim. And didn't Angor later lead a really large force from Pelargir? Anyways, let's see if I can think of a question....hmm.....

I don't think I can... we've asked all the good ones and I'll have to turn to my books. But that will have to wait 'til I get home.

Yes. Undertowers, to be exact! Though there were great collections at Great Smials and Brandy Hall, the one at Undertowers included the Red Book of Westmarch for a long time.

Third time lucky Grond! From the final chapter of Return of the King: "Spring surpassed his wildest hopes. His trees began to sprout and grow, as if time was in a hurry... In the Party Field a beautiful young sapling leaped up: it had silver bark and long leaves, and burst into golden flowers in April. It was indeed a mallorn, and was the wonder of the neighbourhood."

Your turn!

Good question!

Three? Gorbag, the tracker orc, and one of the Ruffians in the Shire?
