Never thought I'd hear those word directed at me *blushes* of course you're reffering purely to the avatar but thank you anyway, I love your new Van Helsing one Sleepy, I just stared at it for the longest time, yes I like Hugh Jackman as well, but he is a very good actor, I'm not one of those girls that only likes an actor for looks, he has to actually be able to act as well, after all hence the title 'Actor' not 'Good Looking Guy With No Talent'.

But I"m not sure if I should change mine, I'm still looking for one that suits me best this is the closest that I can find so far. By the way I love Imladris' new one, very beautiful!

btw .... I do think that Hugh J can act...... even thoughI do think he is rather dishy .... but Hugo is still my favourite and has been for 20 years

Probably my favourite at the moment is Evisse the Blue's avatar, the rose on ice. It just appeals to me, I'm not sure why: it reminded me of the reference to Eowyn, 'fair and cold'

Perhaps some here might not be familiar with the song "Nights In White Satin" from Days of Future Passed by the Moody Blues. I suspect the avatar symbolizes a white satin sheet, although one might ask the Wight himself.

My own favorite from that album is Tuesday Afternoon; seems to me the song was written on the border of Elfland.

I was trying to guess which Tolkien emblem you chose for your avatar-- and now I think it came from somewhere else! But it is still very Middle-Earthy. Classy choice.

Did you have a Tolkien character in mind when you chose it? Being round, it would be for a woman. Being so blue, it reminds me of the ocean, and so brings to mind sea-going characters... Primarily Elwing.

I had noticed a slight... shall we say... disturbance?... in the shades of gray in the BW's avatar. I couldn't figure out if it was just me though, and this was a few hours ago. I thought it might be my eyes playing tricks on me.

There is definitely something green behind that white sheet that is the BW's avvie. I fiddled around with the lighting in Photoshop and I'm pretty sure it's the Penguin.

Actually, I was thinking of my name, Starfire. I wanted something that looked somewhat star-ish. And I was very much into fractals...so I did a google search, scanned through many pages of fractal pictures before finding the perfect one. Fractal avvies have now become my tradition...I pick them in colours that somewhat match the forum colours.

It sort of reminds me of a Silmaril, actually. Hence my potential PT (when I get one) Silmarillic Supernova. I might think of something I like better though.

I saw that green thing in BW's avvie too...so it's not just ye, Fea.

I've discovered that I am completely incapable of placing pictures in this ______ (<- insert adjective of choice there) box, however, I did discover that the little greenish blur in the BW's avatar is indeed the lil penguin feller. If you've got a fairly recent (I used 7) version of Adobe Photoshop... try viewing it under the magenta color plate. It rather reminds me of those colored dot number things you have to look at for the occasional eye exam (testing for color blindness, maybe?).

Again, I got tired of my avatar pretty quickly.

The wonderful Imladris was very kind to resize it for me; I was tearing my hair out in clumps trying to get it to fit!

EDIT: I actually see a cat in the BW's avvie, not Opus. I'm confuzzled...
