I once participated in the best role-play. Rather than characters just going on and doing thrit thing, we had rules. Lots of them. We had to get money, buy things, buy food to replenish our energy, budget what we had. We could be killed by other players or form alliances. Most of what I see other places now is more of a story, no challenge, no ultimate goal. WHere can I go to find another one like this?
