A boy in my English class was doing an oral report on TTT. He was talking about Sam and Gollum fighting each other, and I had this vivid mental picture of Sam grabbing Gollum by the neck and bashing his head with a mallet-like fist. I laughed out loud (just one Ha) and everyone stared at me.

Boromir?! No! We cannot torture him so!

The idea of Gandalf blowing away the hobbit-kids makes my sides hurt.

Anyway, here's another weird one I had:

(On Caradhras, Boromir picks up the Ring.)

Aragorn: "Boromir! Give the Ring to Frodo."

(Boromir looks mad, swings the Ring over his head and chucks it at Frodo.)

Boromir: "As you wish. I care not!"

(Frodo starts to cry.)

Aragorn: "Okay, Boromir, that's it. You're in time-out!"

In FotR, at the scene where Gandalf blows the smoke ship through Bilbo's smoke ring, I keep thinking that there'll be these little figures on it of Gandalf and Bilbo, waving....Don't ask.

In FotR when Frodo looks at Gandy and says "Gandalf" on the wagon, when G looks back at him, I always think his dentures are going to fall out.

Did you notice that in TTT about half of Gandy's lines are "harumph!" or some variant of the word?
TTT, at Helm's Deep, when it starts raining. That look on Theoden's face, hoo boy.

You know in the extended version, when Merry and Pippin are standing on a table and singing? Well this always pops in my head:
Suddenly the room gets dark, and a disco ball lowers from the ceiling. All these colored lights appeare out of nowhere. Then this hip hop/rap music starts playing.
Pippin: "Put ya hands in da air!"
Merry: "Come on, come let's raise da roof!"

I know, I'm strange....

Oh, man. I should have never found this thread.

I'm still cracking-up over the moth-eating and the candy floss.
Well, here goes.

All could think to myself when the orc was running to the wall with a torch in hand was" "It's the Olympic torch bearer!"

There's this particular scene in TTT when one of the Gondorian guards is holding Frodo ( I think it's right before the Nazgul shows up), and poor Frodo looks like he's going to barf all over Faramir.

I think it's this one.
Well, good luck, and keep the silliness alive.

Hehee, poor Frodo! I also thought that uruk-hai was going to light the olympic torch. I have another:
The second time I watched TTT when Legolas slides down on the shield and banks it into an uruk-hai, my friend yelled, well not really yelled, but said "Skateboard elf, skateboard elf!" and I got this scary picture of Legolas as a skateboard junnky.

I was watching Sex and the City last night, and you know how they all sit around at like, lunch talking... I had this mental flash of Galadriel, Arwen and Éowyn sitting around talking like thay do..

Ok its a bit far-fetched but think about it! it would be FUNNY!

Hullo dudes, i'm new to this thread.
hehe...i feel the same with Frodo barfing, he has alot of scenes like that, i thought he was going to barf all over Arwen on the banks of the Bruinen, he looked gross!

The only thing i could think of...

in TTT when Legolas is taking the mick out of Gimli for being so short, Gimli jumps him and they have a really girly woos fight.... Involving nipple twisting, biting and slapping. For some reason Legolas loses.

Please dont say it people...i know...its sad...ah well.

in the extended fotr, when merry and pippin are singing at the green dragon, i can't help but think that either one of them's about to fall off of the table, seemingly unconcious, then frodo starts laughing like there's no tomorrow, i don't know why.
then in ttt, when aragorn falls off the cliff, i always imagine everything going silent and then from below the cliff you hear, "it's all right folks! i'm okaaay!!!"
also, when gollum's going, "once their dead!" i ALWAYS picture him turning to sam and frodo, and going, "did you hear that!?? DIE ALREADY! i wants my PRECIOUSSSSS back!!" and then in the theatre, right after, "we could let her do it" and EVERYONE except for a select few are all super loudly, "who is 'her'!??" i always picture shelob coming up and going, "ME! I AM 'HER'!! NOW GO AWAY AND LEARN SOMETHING USEFUL!!!"
call me crazy!

Hehe..shelob..classic. Although the idea of a giant man/dwarf/elf/hobbit-eating spider talking to a cinema full of people is...frightful..nightmarish!
Everytime is see the bit in TTT where Gollum and Smeagol are arguing i think that they are going to beat each other/themselves up. It would liven it up a bit!
I had a dream that Sam was chasing me with the brace of conies, i woke up sweating, apparentely i had been talking in my sleep,...."No!not the conies!please..no!..."etc
hmmm....sometimes i wonder about my insanity but wake up in a straight jacket.

On one of those odd threads somewhere out there there was this picture of Gollum in a pink tu-tu. When I saw that, I literally fell out of my chair.

Every time I see Legolas ride up for the first time in FotR, I envision him getting his foot caught in a stirrup and getting dragged to the steps before his horse stops.
My favorite mentall picture.

I think my favorite mental picture is in TTT when Aragorn tosses Gimli. Imagine, Aragorn picks him up, then tosses him a bit too far out so Gimli teeters on the edge and falls off. All the Uruk-Hai start laughing hysterically along with Aragorn, and the entire force of the Rohirrim. Then Aragorn realizes he's smack in the middle of a bunch of Uruk-Hai and starts killing them while they're clutching their sides and laughing.

It seemed funny when I thought of it.

In FotR, I always see when the Black riders get swept down the river, that the water rips off their cloaks and there are poodles standing on top of each other underneath. Call me strange...
