Maybe, but we do not know for sure; it is never mentioned explicitly. I, however, know a clear reference to the person's vegetarian way, which is what I am asking for.

It was indeed Beren who got accustomed to beasts so much in his time in the wilderness that afterwards he no longer ate flesh or slew anything safe Morgoth's creatures.

Beleg was buried by Gwindor and Turin (who was struck dumb at the time). They burried Belthronding his bow with him, but not Anglachel, his sword, because Gwindor thought it should be used in the war against Morgoth.

How's that?

Actual: Tar-Atanamir's manipulation upon Tar-Ciryatan to surrender the sceptre before his time.

Probable: Conditions of Aldarion's rule signify many shadows falling upon Numenor, Ancalime's enjoyment of her parents animosity towards each other and other malicious objectives could show the first shadow descending.

I don't know this one, but did you know that Elanor is also the name of a yellow flower in Lórien during the winter? Just a little tidbit since I didn't know the answer (I haven't read RotK yet... ).

It's also used as a symbol for Luthien (why this is I have no idea, as her flower was Nipheredil!).

So the question is asked again:

What is the name of Elanor's daughter?

A mathom is an item hobbits don't want to throw away but don't neccesarily want to keep so they pass it on to the next hobbit when they celebrate their birthday.

It's kind of a pass-around nick-knack.

I know the first was Gamwich, because that is where they got their name. For the moment, I am clueless as to the last...much less the ones inbetween.

Jes definitely has the first one.... now just reason your way into the last one. Where was the last place a 'Gamgee' moved to?

Elanor Gardner-Fairbairn moved to Undertowers. However this is not an official Gamgee, especially since she was wedded to Fastred, and Sam had already altered the sur-name to Gardner.

Prior to this the next possibility is Marigold Gamgee who married Tom Cotton and moved to Bywater, but again the marriage seems to discount this as she would be Marigold Cotton.

Halfred is the most logical choice (who moved to the Northfarthing).

I was asking for 'Gamgee clan (in all of the variances of their name)' which included the Gamwiches to the Fairbairns... all part of a 'clan' that changed their name every generation seemingly.

Your answer was the more complete of the two, Saulotus, so go ahead and ask.

Saul just left for awhile, so Ron, you can go ahead and post another, or let Gwaihir take this one.

I“ve just found in The Adventures of Tom Bombadil the answer to the previous question in this thread, made by saulotus:

What is the name of Elanor's daughter?

Firiel (which was also the name of a princess of Gondor, through whom Aragorn claimed descent from the Southern line).
