Polydegmon, if I'm not mistaken, is a name for Hades, the Greek god of the underworld. So the answer would be Namo, who is the keeper of the Houses of the Dead in Mandos.

Actually, it was the Spear of gil-Galad, Aeglos, that could be withstood by none, and the Sword of Elendil, Narsil, which struck fear into the hearts of the evil forces. Both achieved the same end.
