Words in paranetheses are either implied or words that I'm not sure about, where possibilities are listed. I have done a very literal translation of the first. The second is much easier because it's actually from the books - it's from Aragorn's coronation, and the words Elendil spoke as he set foot on the shore of Middle-earth.
A Bereth thar-Ennui Aeair!
(Oh Queen across-(middle/separating) Ocean (of old)!)
A Galad ven i reniar
(Oh Radiant (to wanderers?/as the days of old?))
hi 'aladhremmin ennorath.
(in (these isolated) meshed trees of Middle-earth)
A Elbereth Gilthoniel
(Oh Star-Queen, Star-Kindler)
ithil nâ thûl, ithil lîn hen...
(The Moon is spirit(alive?), The Moon (pool/sings) watches)
Et Eärello Endorenna utúlien.
(Out from the Great Sea beyond Middle-earth I have come)
Sinome maruvan ar Hildinyar tenn' Ambar-metta! (In this place I will abide, and (my)heirs, unto the (end of doom/end of the world!)
[ June 24, 2003: Message edited by: Legolas ]
