Aosama, the Wandering Star has just left Hobbiton.

Too true! Us North Americans and our emotional constipation! There is an article about this in theonering.net by Quickbeam in the Green Books that is very interesting, highly recommend it. In my society/circle of friends, hugging is very normal and often done. Shower rooms and locker rooms are indeed communal/segregated. And I really like the idea of ten extra years of childhood. I wish I could be a hobbit! Plus, I don't think hobbits had as confusing adolescence as humans do, with those ten extra years... any other opinions on this? Or am I all alone in my opinion here?
