LOTR - Themed Cursors and Icons, Anyone?
To Whom It May Concern:
I wasn't certain if this should go here or in Barrow-Downs. Please feel free to move it to a more appropriate forum. To Everyone Else: No, I don't have LOTR cursors or icons - that's just the point. I'm trying to customize my desktop with Lord of the Rings pictures, etc. In particular, I want a sword cursor for my mouse pointer. Plus, I'd like a better icon than a file folder for My Documents. Any ideas? [ April 12, 2003: Message edited by: Nuranar ]

Wow, that is a really cool idea. Have you tried some sort of Google Search?

I am currently using an AIM buddy icon from www.badassbuddy.com. I HATE most of the buddy icons from there, but go under "characters" and on about the second page there's a Frodo/Gandalf one. My sn is FluteBunny10, if you can't find it.
I usually don't use wallpaper, but pictures from the movies. My favorite to use as wallpaper is the shot of the Fellowship crossing the bridge when setting out from Rivendell. I used to have comet cursors. I think the url is www.cometsystems.com. They had a lot of different cursors, I can't remember, but I think they had sword ones. I didn't have it for long, so I can't say for sure. That's about it, I guess. [ April 12, 2003: Message edited by: Luinalatawen ]

I wouldn't trust Comet Cursors, as I've heard they are spyware. If you run Windows XP, I suggest ThemeXP.org for boot screens and login screens and the like. Don't ask me about icons or mouse cursors.

Here is a list of Tolkien Downloads from C-Net. There is one Gandalf based desktop theme, 2 games, and an English Quenya dictionary for your Palm Pilot, (very handy if you are teleconferencing with Elves, I suppose.)
I haven't downloaded any of these, but I believe that C-Net does not endorse spyware. |
