I have only just discoverd this forum and now at last can use my extensive knowledge of the Lotr.

Anyway Im a student doing a degree in theology .

I have taken the name of Prince Imrahil of Dol Amroth because he is a character I really like plus he was left out of the movie so I try to use his name whereever I can. Lol.

Im a bit unsure this forum seems rather complicated so if I make a mistake forgive me.

Don't worry, Prince of Dol Amroth! As Groin said, you will find a way to orientate here in time. If I can serve with personal experience, try to start posting in one forum part, or one thread you like, and you will slowly get used to the forum and by yourself, find the will to expand into other forums.

And btw, take this also as a welcome from a student of the same branch.

Hello, everyone...

I'm Curufin, and I've been quite active on another RP board that has recently had some problems with, er, Nazgúl, so I thought I'd find myself a refuge from that.

Found this place and thought it looked pretty nice!

I've been a fan of Tolkien for some years now. I've read Lord of the Rings, the Hobbit, the Silmarillion, and most of the HoME. My favorite texts are The Silmarillion, The Shibboleth of Fëanor, Laws and Customs among the Eldar, and my very favorite: Athrabeth Finrod Ah Andreth. I'm know most about the Noldor, and I must admit I lose interest in the Silmarillion after men and dwarves and hobbits appear.

Chose this name for several reasons - mainly because I like the guy and think a lot of people rag on him for no reason! Of course, I suppose that's debatable.

Looking forward to talking to everyone!

I first read the Hobbit in the mid 70's and the Lord Of The Rings around '77. I read the Silmarillion in the early 80's. I have re-read all more times than I can remember, the LoTR 3 times as many as the others. I am finishing the HoME now, near the end of Morgoths Ring.
I have been reading the forum here for some time now. I find the discussions mostly intriguing. The depth of knowledge and opinions is wonderful. I have found few around me that have as much fasination with Tolkien as I. I doubt I am not certain that I will be able to add much value to the discussions but I will certainly continue to enjoy reading them.
Hope I didnt go too overboard in introducing myself.

That was not a too long introduction by any standards - there are many much longer, for example my own way back in 2004.

I love theater, writing, and reading. I'm taking a Creative Writing class this year and have to write 250 words daily, but I love it! I've done theater for about five years, and have been on all parts of crew and cast.

I get confused easily but love to have fun and play pranks. I'm either at school, my theater, in my room reading or writing or on the computer...

I am a writer/artist of a comic book, from which I draw a lot of inspiration from the works of Tolkien (among other things.) I love fantasy, especially dark fantasy, finding beauty in the darkness above all else. I hope to get to know you all and look forward to debating, discussing, and learning from you all.
