OK, I'll ask a new question, to keep this thread going. What was on the wall to the left of the front door in the Hall at Bag-End? Edit: Just to be clear, questions here must relate to the book, The Hobbit. [ June 24, 2003: Message edited by: The Saucepan Man ]

No and no. By "to the left of the front door", I mean from the perspective of standing in the Hall looking at the front door. Hint: the answer that I am thinking of is not to be found in the text, although it is an "official" source. [ June 25, 2003: Message edited by: The Saucepan Man ]

Well, I found a picture (not sure if it's an "official" one so to speak, but there's a stool and a trunk to the left of the door.

No, but you are right that I am thinking of a picture. However, this one is about as "official" as you can get.

Sorry for the inncorrect translation but I did my best . Bilbo could never imagine that an open of water , which is not a sea , could look so big . If that is not enough than the sentence is to be found in chapter 10 , the 6th paragraph , the 4th sentence . Well atleast so it is in my book .

Why , thank you ! That was the closest translation I could thought of . So here goes my next question : which Dwarf was set free as the first when Bilbo recued them from the spider webs ? And again it is too simple but all the trixy questions are difficult to translate in English so forgive me for this simple question . Good luck on answering !

Well, I was just guessing the answer too, I'm rather suprised to have gotten it correct. What was Gollum's reward if we would have won the quiz game? |
