I didn't literally meant reincarnation, but as luthien was the morningstar of her people, Arwen is the evenstar, and the image of luthien. furthermore, they both shared the same doom: they both fell in love with a mortal and died. What about Lobelia vs. Merry? (Remember FotR when Merry was watching over Bag-end while Frodo napped & Lobelia came over?)

Goodness Gracious Me! How could anyone ever think our Prince of Mirkwood could EVER beat Glorfindel!!!! Glorfindel would just own him! Same goes for Éomer and Faramir, Éomer would kick the crap out of Faramir!
