I came across this scene from the film Elf (2003), where Buddy (Will Ferrell), a man raised as an elf at the North Pole, is sent to the USA to search for his true identity.

Among the things he finds out is that a department store Santa isn't the real one. This so disgusts him that he publically denounces this fake Santa, including telling him 'You sit on a throne of lies', found at 0.49 in the clip I've given the link to:

This makes me laugh, because it makes me think of an elf in Middle-earth denouncing Sauron with the same phrase.

What do people think?
