I'll start it off with an easy one

I can be seen glowing an eery green, maybe as a penguin, Who am I?

Firefoot

Hooves of Fire in the singular is Hoof of Fire, hoof being a foot of an animal and it's rather clever because Firefoot is the name of a horse and our beloved member so it fits rather well in many respects. Of course, having said that I'll be wrong.

You are quite close even though the riddle doesn't have anything to do with making Downer Periodic Tables... Keep guessing.
