Yes, it's the sun. Well, that was a quite easy one, I'll try to figure out something harder next.

I am as wise as any man,
and never is my knowledge lost,
but when you destroy me,
my wisdom is the cost,
I can tell you many thing,
but never do I speak to thee,
but still you are the one,
who at firs taught me,
what am I?
