Min-Rimmon was the 3rd-most west of the beacon-hills on the edge of the White Mountains that allowed Gondor to call on Rohan during times of need. Great fires would be kindled that could be seen from the next hill, allowing the message to pass further along the chain to Rohan. From east to west they were: Amon Din, Eilenach, Nardol, Erelas, Min-Rimmon, Calenhad, and Halifirien on the borders of Rohan. (RotK, Ch1). I don't remember Min-Rimmon anywhere in the Silmarillion, though.

Great fires would be kindled that could be seen from the next hill, allowing the message to pass further along the chain to Rohan. From east to west they were: Amon Din, Eilenach, Nardol, Erelas, Min-Rimmon, Calenhad, and Halifirien on the borders of Rohan. (RotK, Ch1). I don't remember Min-Rimmon anywhere in the Silmarillion, though. </p>
