amyrlis has just left Hobbiton.

Hello to all the new ones! Just wanted to add that I too LOVE The Last Unicorn, I hear they are re-making it as a live action flick and Christopher Lee is going to reprise his role as the evil king (he did the voice in the cartoon, and is now supposed to play the part in the movie). Also, the Murder She Wrote lady (why can't I remember her name right now!?!) was the original voice of Mommy Fortuna, and she's supposed to play that part too.

I had seen the cartoon many years ago, but just found out it was originally a book, need to get that on my reading list!

No one is "too old" for TLU, the cartoon came out in the late 70's or early 80's I think. I was just a kid then, but my mom watched it with me and she cried. Now it's part of my personal VHS (must upgrade to DVD sometime) collection along with The Hobbit. Both of which I made my husband watch - don't think he was too excited about that! (By the way, please forgive me for the off-Tolkien post!)
