144 years = 1 yeni
It's not... 144 man years = 1 elven year A year is a year is a year. They only used the term 'yeni' because it was easier than keeping up with years, being alive through so many of them. When someone says Elrond was 6,000+ years old, they don't mean 6,000+ x 144 years.
