I've always liked the meeting with Ghan-Buri-Ghan when he says(not exact) Me think the Seakings eat stone. Remarking on the Numenorean building crafts. (TTT is my favorite book)

Movies: after setting off the dragon rocket, Merry and Pip, faces blackenned like a LooneyTune cartoon, saying "Let's get another!"
