Living thing - yes Biped - no Plant - yes Tree - yes Herb - no Rare/one of a kind - yes Features in LOTR - no Is it the White tree the Eldar give Aldarion and Erendis as a wedding gift? - no, but heading in the right direction. You're closer with every question! When I said that it is not in LOTR, I meant that it does not play a part, but IIRC it is mentioned.
