I'm not really sure how, but my assumption was that all the slaves had somehow gotten in on this plot together ahead of time. But perhaps it would make more sense for Susca to be picked up along the way?

If nothing else, we can claim that they met in the slave quarters/pens they were all thrown in the night before they were released for the harvest festival?
