Fortunately the wargs thought they were buying flame-resistant shoes, when really they were only ordinary sneakers. (The shoes were from Bill Ferney who was now facing charges of fraud and false advertising
 )

Unfortunately Bill Ferny's attorney, Wormtongue,
got him off by pleading Bill Ferny was "emotionally exhausted and morally bankrupt" (he watched old M*A*S*H* reruns).
