Next week (starting Sunday) is my grace week when I get a lot of time off, so it'd be an ideal time to start a game.

The game itself is quite simple; the one thing different about it is that I'd like those who play to have as their secondary focus (primary focus = winning, of course) telling a good story through the game.

If people are up for it I'll get a signup thread asap; however, I don't want to do anything to proceed until I've heard from Nog because I know we've kept him waiting for a while.

Honestly, it's not unduly difficult. Just have a good look over the last couple of games first.

Well the last one was anything but a normal game as we didn't get to know the roles of those who died - and was thence an extra-challenge and well, different. But just check a game where the mod tells s/he'll make a pretty standard game and you can see how it goes.

And bah... I came into these games with no preparation whatsoever back then.

Okay, Mnemo's game is ending within a day, but I will not be able to host a game until the end of August or early September.

So someone should once more over-ride me. I will just be away from the 'Downs from the early August to the late August with a too tight a RL schedual...


But to those interested let me reveal some initial things from my game to come (as I have finally created the concept).

The rangers of north were a tough bunch. So a game set into their time and place (Approximately the time of Bandobras Took and the wolf-invasion in the north - and when werewolves infiltrated also the rangers) would see no one dying easily: every death – whether it be a lynch or a Night-kill – would be fought between those trying to kill someone and those trying to save the one, and who knows who comes up triumphant or gets killed in the end? It might be someone just trying to protect someone else who gets killed – or someone just supporting the kill who might die. So it will also be a game of loyalities. And you need to choose someone every Day and Night. But as a reward, you gain experience everytime you have been in a fight and survive it, and will thus be a better fighter the next time.

So you will not only vote for someone to lynch by Days but also for someone you’d like to stand side by side if it comes to it at the deadline. Also during the Nights, you should give the mod a name whom you’d be ready to defend if s/he was attacked.

You’re a bunch of rangers of the north and not some cattle to be slaughtered. You make a fight for it Day or Night – and you face some gruesome werewolves who have infiltrated your company getting better Night by Night unless you harvest them down!

It's decidedly selfish of me to say it, but I'm glad, Nog that you can't start that game until September, because there's no way I can play in the next one, and if there's any way I can play in your ranger game, I wantss it, preciouss!

Seriously... it sounds intriguing indeed; though you haven't laid out the rules, there is a flair of... shiriffs maybe? Or lovers? Something nice and complicated along those lines. And the story is in Arnor with Rangers! *likes Arnor and Rangers*

And, heh, if it's in September, there's even a chance (slim, but better by a long shot than August) I'll be able to play. I'm starting my graduate studies this fall, so my daily schedule should *hopefully* be more conducive to WWing, though we'll see. More conducive, anyway, than the summer holiday schedule is proving, and September should antedate most assignments.

And I haven't even mentioned the best thing of all: if Nog is moderating then he won't be playing! This means I won't start the game with a Philosophy-of-WW archnemesis.

Of course, I realise what this means... whoever does moderate an August game will moderate an even better game. I can only concede defeat now and sit here, ( <-- Green with envy) knowing how horrid is my lot in life.

My month of intense crazy business is almost over, and thankfully ending even sooner then I thought it would!!!! So I am so in for the next game, as long as it doesn't start before next monday. Not really sure where this game is at, but I'm sure I don't have to worry. Then that'll be it for me til like.......Christmas, haha.
