The door to the pub opened with a bang and two young women entered with a noise that could be best described as a "squee."

"No, seriously," one of them was saying, "this is awesome. 'Downers aside, the sheer historical awesome of this place--we should totally have brought some badfic and done the whole "take a drink if you laugh" game--"

The other, clearly sick of her babbling, looked about the room. "PHANTOM!" she cried. "Save me from this nutcase of a roommate? I think she's..." she paused and whispered theatrically--"unhinged."

"I've only been giving her a tour of Tolkien's Oxford..." said the unhinged one. "And we were going to stop at Blackwell's after this as a reward for good behavior..."

The room's occupants (those of them who could be bothered to care, at least) stared, almost as if she didn't belong.

"Er... hi? Sally and Duck here... I'm sure that even if I don't recognize you I know you, even if you don't know me because I'm a creepy lurktastic stalker... Yeah, shutting up now. Anyone else up for drinks yet?"
