I have been thinking a bit about this thread. . . Technicaly Abers is from the USA and Mac from Germany, they just live abroad.

Atleast I would still say "I am from Denmark" even if I moved to say Argentina.

I take that to a whole other level...I only moved about 90 miles away into the enemy territory of Yorkshire where they have only just invented fire and the wheel and I still say I am from Lancashire, which confuses people if they see my address

Soon, I hope, this aberration shall be rectified

Local patriotism is a habit hard to die... and can be taken even further than that sample above my movement to my lady's place after the marriage took at most two miles of journeying off my previous place of residence, merely into different district of the same town, and still 4 years thence I find myself naming the name of my 'original' district when asked about my whereabouts

Well, actually I am from the Island of Amager only a few kilometers away from Frederiksberg and when you tell people that, they look at you like you are from another planet.

Of course Amager does not have the best reputation and is known as "The **** Island"
