Unfortunately, this caused everything to revert to the way it was in the beginning, and thus Morgoth was no longer stuck in the Void.

Fortunately, Morgoth was not et Morgoth, as such, and still, Melko, and not yet evil, and all the other Valar liked him (except Ulmo, the outcast, with his amazing foresight).

Unfortunately, Melkor had somehow kept all his memories from before the reset and was therefore still evil.
