Gayalondiel -- I think that the bit where the Nazgul learn of the location of The Shire from Grima is also taken from UT, or at least hinted at in UT.

Although some may find it cheesy, I also like the "radio play sound effect" of the One Ring exercising its power (the ringing sound, no pun intended).

Basically, I like pretty much everything about the BBC version. I have it on CD and listen to it often. The actors are all great, but I especially like Gandalf and Sam.
