Yes, usually. However, Americans have a point when it comes to standardizing endings, like -ize and -ise. There is no logical reason to have two different endings.

It annoys me when logical, latin/greek roots are changed, though. And the pointless changes for "ease".

The ATM was invented by a Scot – but I can't think of a way to use this in the story.

I've filled my save. If my characters complicate things, LMP, you can have them leave politely muttering something about someone having already taken this hiding spot.
