Now she seems to accept her defeat and death, something wolves (especially unexperienced ones) keep doing. (I know that from experience, that's just what I did when I was a wolf, and I ended up a Fenris.)

It seems that once suspected if you take it calmly you are doomed and if you fire off you are doomed, so there's nothing to read into it at all, sadly. Once a mob has decided then that's it. Remember what happened when Durelin defended Volo? She was suspected, so why bother when it gets to this stage? It only dooms you too; very Darwinian. And Mithalwen has made it clear that if I now reveal as the other Ranger she won't believe me and she will tell everyone else not to believe me, so there is no point in doing what would now be my only defence. All I can do is stand by my convictions and trust to hope in the vote.
