"Much that once was is lost. For none now live who remember it."
Galadriel. I love the nostalgia in that line. It gives the entire legend more depth. "Where is the horse and the rider, Where is the horn that was blowing They have passed like rain on the mountain, Like wind in the mead The days come down in the west Behind the hills, to shadow..." Theodon. "If by my life or death, if I can protect you, I will. You have my sword." Aragorn, movie. "What chance do you think you have? They will find you. They will take the ring. And you will beg for death before the end!" Boromir "Gondor has no King, Gondor needs no King." Boromir. Okay, let's just say: if Boromir said it, it's got my love. He does have some powerful utterances. Adding: "One day our paths will lead us there. And the tower guard shall take up the call. For the Lords of Gondor have returned." Boromir, movie. "Even the smallest person can change the course of the future." Galadriel, movie. Again, the nostalgia sets in. One quote I really do love is not so much a quote as a passage. It's the description of Boromir from Fellowship, and it's not particularly special but it seems to have captured my heart.
