This night will end shortly, but I thought I should address a few things first. Now I understand that RL sometimes gets in the way, but what I want some players to understand is that when you do not participate in the daily posting or nightly voting, it effects the good players that did. I understand there has been a lot of problems with players receiving their scenarios or answers to their questions late. Now I apologize for this, but if there was a problem with you getting your post done because of this reason it would be great if you would let me know, so that you won't be penalized.

Now I want to apologize to anyone who thinks I am being to harsh or "yelling" at players. I have no desire for the game to end early, nor am I getting stressed out. But some players seem to be able to do their game duties even though they too are busy. I just want to stress that all this non participation is recking havoc on the preset rules and regulations we set up in the beginning. Now I know that things change, but think....is it really fair for the participating players?

Please don't take this the wrong way!!! I love this game, and for the most part all players have be doing exemplary!!! I just want people to use courtesy!! If there is a problem let me know!! How are we supposed to make things run smoothly when there are so many missing links?

Again keep up the great posting!! We are nearing the end, so lets make this game something to remember!!

I wasn't expecting more than one PM in a 7 hour period, but got three. Yikes!

Shield

Sorry! Posted this in the game thread. Deleted it swiftly.

I'm really confused as to how the players are where they are. It doesn't seem to add up to me.

No, it wasn't a punishment, it was a luck of the draw on how our map works. Let me explain: You see a map with dots showing where you are now. We see a map with dots of where you are now, everywhere you've been, everywhere you could have been, and everywhere you could end up. All scenarios and positions are preset for the sake of fairness. You were unfortunate enough to land on a spot the led south no matter which way you took. The would have happened to Valesse, except that she had two moves, and so moved South and then West. Something similar happened to THE Ka when she was "lost" up in the northern mountain range and had to retrace her steps. It was just bad luck with the course you picked.

Ok. Didn't know there was as much chance as that. Does it also move players forward?

Forgive me, I didn't explain fully. The mods' map is a giant web. From each location, there are four lines to four other locations. One is where you came from, the other three are where you could go from there. The middle line is the "straight" or "West" direction, the others are left and right, respectively. At the location you were at, Straight led to the South. We set it up this way so it would be easier to keep track of players movements, so we would be able to preset scenarios in the interest of fairness, and to throw some fun twists into the game. It's not really random, as in, we just decided to toss you south by some random decider such as dice, but it is random in that not all locations are set up like that. Some players will run into deadends and have to retrace their steps. Others will only be able to move backwards on the map. It just depends on which lines lead where, and which ones you decide to take.

Sorry, I can't tell you that.
