How come no one has ever mentioned Húrin in this thread? For me, he was the greatest human hero in the first age.
He was so loyal and valiant. Think of defying Morgoth to his face and withstanding him for so many years! Especially after reading U.T, where his character is much more closely drawn, I took a great liking to him. But I can't get over the heartbreaking injustice of his fate! [img]smilies/frown.gif[/img]
