The Saucepan Man has been trapped in the Barrow!
Boots

Well, being no fan of Country Music myself, I shall do as Jake and Elroy did when confronted with a similar proposition.

*The Saucepan Man starts up a vigorous, cantering beat on his pans*

Runnin', runnin', runnin'
Runnin', runnin', runnin'
Runnin', runnin', runnin'
Runnin', runnin', runnin'

Runnin', runnin', runnin'
O’er the plains of Rohan
Keep them Hobbits runnin'
Smallfry!
Pay no heed to Grishnákh
Hell-bent for Orthanc
We are the fightin' Uruk-Hai.
All the things I'm callin',
Manflesh, grog, and brawlin',
Are waiting at the end of my flight.

Push 'em on, tie 'em up
Tie 'em up, push 'em on
Push 'em on, tie 'em up
Smallfry
Move 'em out, bring 'em in,
Bring 'em in, move 'em out,
Move 'em out, bring 'em in
Smallfry!

Runnin', runnin', runnin'
Runnin', runnin', runnin'
Runnin', runnin', runnin'
Runnin', runnin', runnin'

Keep movin', movin', movin'
Though the pace is gruelin'
Keep them Hobbits movin'
Smallfry!
Don't try to feast upon 'em
Just grab, bind, and haul 'em
Soon we'll be back in Isengard.
I’m Uglúk, I’m commandin'
And Sharkû is demandin',
Demandin' the Hobbits unmarred.

Push 'em on, tie 'em up
Tie 'em up, push 'em on
Push 'em on, tie 'em up
Smallfry
Move 'em out, bring 'em in,
Bring 'em in, move 'em out,
Move 'em out, bring 'em in
Smallfry!

Yah!
Runnin', runnin', runnin'
Runnin', runnin', runnin'
Yah!
Runnin', runnin', runnin'
Runnin', runnin', runnin'
Yah!
Smallfry
Yah!
Smallfry!

Well, I suppose since I must - here's my song for this round.

It's called I Like It, I Love It, sung by Thorin Oakenshield about the treasure under the Mountain. (I Like It, I Love It - Tim McGraw)

I've been on my feet now fer what seems like forever,
I'm battered and bruised but I want back my treasure.
It's got me feelin' greedy I can just taste the pleasure,

I ain't ate a square meal fer what seems like a year.
We're gonna catch fire if we're not real aware,
But gems like the Arkenstone are more than just rare!

And I like it, I love it, I want some more of it,
I've worked so hard, I won't give any to Bard.
Don't know what it is 'bout these gems that ain't been marred,
But I like it, I love it, I want some more of it.

My Mother and Father tried to teach me to share,
But right now I find it real hard to care.
Now I'm holdin' rare diamonds and gatherin' up gold,

I'll weather the battle and get throught the cold.
Crossin' my fingers, and countin' every man,
Refusin' to give in to any demand.

'Cause I like it, I love it, I want some more of it,
I've worked so hard, I won't give any to Bard.
Don't know what it is 'bout these gems that ain't been marred,
But I like it, I love it, I want some more of it.

Got to draw my sword and get up
Get up and rally all the dwarves to my side.
Soon enough Dain will answer my summon,
Then we'll send the enemy off and runnin'...
They won't get no gold from my hide.

'Cause I like it, I love it, I want some more of it,
I've worked so hard, I won't give any to Bard.
Don't know what it is 'bout these gems that ain't been marred,
But I like it, I love it, I want some more of it.

Howdy, agin' folks. This lil tune is called "White Miurvor, White Lightning" (White Lightning, George Jones) an' it's sung by Arwen 'bout her daddy.

Well in ol' Rivendell, way back in the hills
Me and my old pappy had a hand in a still
We brewed white miruvor' 'til the sun went down
Then he'd fill him a jug and he'd pass it around
Mighty, mighty pleasin, pappy Elrond's brewin'
Whshhhoooh . . . white lightnin'

Chorus:
Well the Bree men, Lake men, Moriaers, too
Searchin' for the place where he made his brew
They were looking, tryin to book him,
But my pappy kept a-cookin'
Whshhhoooh . . . white lightnin'

--- Instrumental ---

Well I asked my old pappy why he called his brew
White lightnin' 'stead of miurvor dew
I took a little sip and right away I knew
As my eyes bugged out and my face turned blue
Lightnin' started flashin' and thunder started crashin'
Shhhoooh . . . white lightnin'

Chorus:
Well the Bree men, Lake men, Moriaers, too
Searchin' for the place where he made his brew
They were searchin', and they were thirsty too,
So my pappy kept a-cookin'
Whshhhoooh . . . white lightnin'

Well a Mirkwood slicker came and he said "I'm tough"
"I think I wanna taste that powerful stuff"
He took one g-g-glug and drank it right down
And I heard him a moaning as he hit the ground
Mighty, mighty pleasin', pappy Elrond's brewin'
Whshhhoooh . . . white lightnin'

Chorus:
Well the Bree men, Lake men, Moriaers, too
Searchin' for the place where he made his brew
They were searchin', and they were thirsty too,
So my pappy kept a-cookin'
Whshhhoooh . . . white lightnin'

Well, I'm going to be singing country tonight. *gasps from audience* I know that seems out of character for me, Gurthang, to do, but I hope you can forgive me. I'll be singing as Sam, who is thinking of his friendship with Frodo and lamenting over his departure from ME, which took place long before the song was written. The song will be called What Hurt the Most. I hope you like it. (What Hurts the Most* by Rascal Flatts)

I can take the rain on the roof of this hobbit hole
That don’t bother me
It only makes a few tears now when it comes back to my mind
I’m not afraid to cry every once in a while
Even though remembering with you gone seems so empty
There are days every now and again I pretend to forget
But I can never really

What hurt the most
Was being so close
And watching you sail away
Because you couldn't stay
And still wondering
If I'll see you again
Because you are there to stay
And I might not go that way.

It’s hard to go through life without you, knowing what you did for them
But they don't know
It’s hard to force that smile when I see our old friends and I know
Still harder
Getting up, getting dressed, livin’ without their thanks
But I know if we could do it over
You'd still trade give away what you did to save all of Middle-Earth
and without them knowing

What hurt the most
Was being so close
And watching you sail away
Because you couldn't stay
And still wondering
If I'll see you again
Because you are there to stay
And I might not go that way.

What hurt the most
Was being so close
And watching you sail away
Because you couldn't stay
And still wondering
If I'll see you again
Because you are there to stay
And I might not go that way.

Because you are there to stay
I hope I can go that way.

*There is some dialogue at the end of that recording. I don't exactly know what it is, but I found it a little funny.

Extension till tomorrow, please!

And if some passing kind-hearted Alpha Female wolf would like to send me an exemplar and brief history (or perhaps "low-down") of this peculiar art "country" I would be much obliged...

Well we had it extended till today for Mithalwen so yeah, do what you can.
As for a history on country erm... wait... I'm not female, I don't need to tell you!

Anyway, I'm certain you could find a Rascall Flatts song that'll fit or Tim McGraw maybe. Just google 'country music' and go with what you can. Nobody really likes country anyway so yeah...

Female, and not a wolf. But I'll respond anyway.

This may be a little too detailed, but it looks like it gives a pretty good history of country music.
