How about the duration of the Day/Night -cycle? 36 hours seems good enough for all the players to react and PM to & fro with the mods during the Day-phase, but how about the Night-phase? If we really wish people interacting with each other (that would enhance the RPG-element here), then 12-hours is a very short time which someone might just about sleep through...

So how about 36-hour Days and 24-hour Nights?

Nogrod if more interaction is wanted from the other players we can allow 24 hrs, but what about the players that choose paths that are not near other players? They will have longer to wait with no one to talk to that night. If players don't care then we can have longer nights.....Let's vote on that and also if you players want to reveal your "new" names and Locations before the first day or if you want to keep them secret.

Is it possible to choose a location to start with? Roa's map gave us the starting and ending positions already, if I understood it correctly?

I don't think it a problem if you don't have any interaction during one night (12/24 hours), but I could see it as a problem if one wanted to interact with someone on a totally different timezone and work/studies taking their time...

All players start at the same place. Dorwinion Then after that the choice of direction is yours. The start is marked on Roa's map.

NOTE: THIS MAP IS JUST AN ESTIMATION, THE DISTANCE BETWEEN EACH STOP VARIES.

Given that the only thing to do at night is Vote and RP, and very few people actually sleep for 12 hours, we thought this would be enough time to get things done. Otherwise, nights may end up becoming a whole lot of nothing, and the game drags on longer than people are able to commit.

However, it may not be so bad an idea, provided that we can always garruntee a mod to present at whatever time the day and night may start, since it would no longer be regular.

I agree with Valier. If everyone is up for it, we can certainly do our best to see that someone is around and able to handle the start and finish. I'd like to wait for Rune to chime in though, sonce he will likely end up starting a Day by himself and have to handle the mass pms that will be going on.
