I have a very short friend who grew about two inches over the course of the past month, so one day I went up to her and said "You have grown Halfling." She did not find it very funny...

Now I have my own to tell. Not so sure it is as funny though. Whilst on a roadtrip with some friends, we kinda sorta got lost because of the driver. I was sitting in the front seat and I turned to her and said. "Where in Middle-Earth are we?" All of us were LOTR fans, so we cracked up. I don't know where in the books it is, I just remembered Gimli said it.
