against Belladonna an interested viewer
(who happened at the time to be reading
Medeline's Rescue ) called in to say:

Luthien jumped on a chair.
"Anti-Belladonna's," she cried, "beware!
"Miss Took, noblest hobbit in the Shire,
"You shall have your VEN-GE-ANCE!"

(So, okay, it
doesn't exactly rhyme now).


And she pointed out that a great relative, Bandobras Took,
slayer of evil creatures, yet survived!
